This Saturday we had the most fun party organized by our students to celebrate Dashain!
The girls’ dormitory students invited their classmates and teachers over and hosted a wonderful celebration. Girls applied tika to teachers foreheads and after a brief explanation received from girls, Yoda-sensei applied tika (a red paste mixed with rice) to students foreheads as part of the ceremony. We were treated to delicious traditional Nepali curry with rice - it was so tasty, thank you!
Afterward, we danced in the big hall, and the day was filled with smiles and happy tears. It was such an emotional and positive day! Thank you for having us!
